This program is a double major five-year program that provides a comprehensive learning experience to students and helps them achieve linguistic competence in both languages – Mandarin and English. It aims to produce highly qualified language teachers with expertise focusing on Mandarin and English. Eligible students will receive scholarships to pursue the degree at AUF and Fujian Normal University, one of China’s leading universities in teacher education.
Language and culture camps acquaint students with the Chinese language and culture through travel opportunities in China. The language part involves speaking, reading, and writing, while the cultural part introduces Chinese history, art, and tradition to students. The main goal of these camps is to introduce China to students and to provide one of a kind experience through emersion in the Chinese language and culture. Annually, CI-AUF organizes China-ASEAN Camp, Summer Camp, Winter Camp, and Chinese Test Camp.
